Martyn Turner writes: I liked this cartoon as, for once, I managed to draw something that didn't require the crutch of about 100 words to make it a viable political cartoon.

So here I am writing words about a cartoon that didn’t need words in the first place.

This year we are going to return the AIB to private ownership. Why? Isn’t it possible, these days, to have a bank that is owned by the people (as it is at the moment), for the people, etc, etc? Some things are too important to the populace at large to be left to the free market economy to exploit. Water is one, we all seem agreed on that. Banking might well be another.
