Wee darlings

A chara, – I welcomed Fintan O'Toole's excellent piece on Ireland's place in the world ("Ireland is nobody's little darling any more", Opinion & Analysis, November 21st), but I would not agree with him that the English are the only people who really like us.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with the Scots since coming here. They especially love our accents. Of course, it might just be me! – Is mise,
