Sir, – The great alacrity with which journalists rush to use such utterly ridiculous terms as “Grexit” and “Brexit” has me bracing myself for all sorts of exiting possibilities for the future – Austrexit, Belexit, Cyprexit, Estexit, Finexit, Frexit, Germexit, Irexit, Itexit, Latvexit, Lithexit, Luxexit, Maltexit, Nexit, Pexit, Slovakexit, Slovenexit, and Spexit.
I just hope and pray that my list might begin to approach an accurate reflection of the current state of EU portmanteau science. – Yours, etc,
