Sir, – It has been interesting to follow the reasons given for the chaotic firings/resignations in the White House.
Things seem never more opaque than when they tell us that US president wants to make things very clear.
Sean Spicer, Reince Priebus and Anthony Scaramucci all made it clear, when going, that they wanted to leave their successor a clean slate on which to operate.
Under Donald Trump, the White House is fast becoming a house of clean slates, where once a travelling Thatcher used to call on business, from time to time. – Yours, etc,
