Referendum on European treaty

A chara, – Like many supporters of the 21st-century march towards the precipice of the right-wing, neo-conservative hell of the new European empire, Michael Gannon (March 7th) allows his enthusiasm to let him play a little loose with the truth: capital has not “become scarce” – it has merely been consolidated into the hands of fewer and fewer ultra-rich oligarchs. And their principal use for this obscene wealth? Making more money.

Trying to stop this relentless drive to an unjust, unsustainable and even more divisive Europe is one (of the numerous) reasons I will be voting against “Merkozy’s” treaty. Probably more than once! – Is mise,
