Sir, – I see that a pilot scheme to reopen six Garda stations is part of the key inputs of Independent TDs into the programme for government.
Can we assume that during the pilot the Garda stations will revert to the older technology in use when the locations of the six stations were originally decided? Reverting to technologies such as transport by bicycle as a rapid means of response, the use of landlines during post office opening hours, urgent communication by telegram, and the replacement of all recording devices with pen and paper? – Yours, etc,
