Online and offline

Sir, – Karlin Lillington states that forcing us towards digital interactions with State services and banks does not suit some people ("People must not be forced to operate online", Business Opinion, November 16th). A much bigger issue is the massive job losses that will follow from this policy on a scale that has huge economic and societal repercussions. Is it time to call for a new human right: that people have a right to deal primarily with another human person in any interaction? – Yours, etc,

PAUL CONNOLLY,

Cavan.
