Litter and the Great South Wall

Sir, – Would it be possible to persuade Messrs Gay Byrne and Harry Crosbie who appear to be singularly focused in persuading monied companies to help deface the Great South Wall, to join with Senator David Norris who appears to be equally focused on tidying up our capital city.

Even the young and agile must watch where they put their feet and the streets of Dublin are not far removed from the uneven condition of the equally loved Great South Wall.

The problem is that if you fall on the Great South Wall it is unlikely you will fall into the many forms of litter to be found on our streets.

There are many beautiful walks thankfully unlittered, suitable for young and old alike around our city, without having to change and deface at a significant cost a walk that to get to requires a lengthy car journey through broken down and littered roads.
