Sir, – Wouldn’t you think that to celebrate our exit from the bailout, we could manage to send a bit more than a paltry million and a half euros to the Philippines? The United Nations is seeking at least €300 million in aid for that devastated country. Someone paid half that amount for three pictures of a fellow sitting on a chair . . .
