A chara, – Much like John Egan (Letters, August 8th), I also enjoyed the article on the 50 best moments for Irish sportswomen (Sport, August 5th). Unlike Mr Egan, however, I didn’t find it strange that Michelle Smith failed to make the list. No achievement listed is clouded by as much doubt as that of Michelle Smith.
