Abortion rights and consequences

Sir, – Declan Kelly (Letters, June 30th) argues quite reasonably that if another referendum should vote in favour of allowing abortion in cases of a crisis pregnancy, rape, incest or fatal foetal abnormality, this too would become a human right.

Yep, as we’re always reminded after yet another massacre in America, the right to bear arms is sacrosanct. Just as in abortion, tough luck if you happen to be on the receiving end. – Yours, etc, AILEEN HOOPER Stoneybatter, Dublin 7.
