There are just six days to go until Hard Working Class Heroes 2010, and although there’s no “Foreign Invasion” planned, there’s plenty of Irish talent to keep those who like digging for musical treasures satisfied – including sister act Heathers and post-rock group Halves, just added to the bill.

Although the festival is open to all, there is an undeniable industry slant to proceedings. Culture Ireland has invited delegates from Primavera Sound, SXSW, Midem, Canadian Music Week and The Great Escape to discover acts they may be interested in having at their festivals. There will also be industry panels which will be filmed for podcasts, an iPhone app and a photography exhibition at The Workman’s Club. RTÉ’s digital station 2XM is also in on the action and will broadcast live at Filmbase from 8pm-10pm each evening, with assorted interviews, tunes and chat thrown in.
