Gowran faces 8am inspection

GOWRAN’S CHANCES of getting today’s re-scheduled card under way depend on an 8am inspection, but if the meeting does get a green light then it should be good news for followers of Misala, writes BRIAN O’CONNOR .

The maiden hurdle was divided to make a six-race card before it called off on Saturday due to high winds, and the first division looks a good opportunity for Misala, who was a decent second to Saludos at Fairyhouse last time.

The second division includes Kauto Relko, a half-brother to the great Kauto Star, but the more experienced Taking Stock looks a better option.

Paul Townend and Willie Mullins, who teamed up for a valuable success with Beroni in Sunday’s Troytown at Navan, could add to that with Doctor Deejay in the three-year-old hurdle, while Don’t Turn Bach can score for the champion trainer in the bumper.
