McFlynn leads Loup to win

Loup 1-10 Derrygonnelly 1-6: A SUPER second half showing orchestrated by Paul McFlynn saw Loup ease to a comfortable win over Derrygonnelly. McFlynn hit five unanswered points either side of the break as the Derry men took control.

The third of his three first-half points helped Loup lead 0-7 to 0-6 at half-time as four pointed frees from Ryan Jones kept Derrygonnelly in touch.

Two more points from McFlynn stretched the lead to three. Declan McVey then pointed to make it 0-10 to 0-6 and Derrygonnelly’s fate was sealed when Aidan McAlynn found the net. Sub Peter Gallagher’s late goal came too late for the Fermanagh men.
