Fri 04 Apr 2003Neptune opt out of their own regatta
ROWING: Neptune, who won the men's senior eights title at the national championships 13 times in the last 20 years and six times in the last eight, will not put out a men's senior eight in their own regatta at Islandbridge tomorrow.
Pre-eminent among Dublin clubs in recent years, Neptune has suffered from the defection of some of its strongest oarsman to Commercial, where they have formed a sculling group as part of their drive to establish themselves as credible candidates for international selection.
