Madam, – While I have great respect for Eamon Gilmore, his proposal for a three-way leaders’ debate is absurd: the debate should solely involve the candidates with a realistic chance of becoming taoiseach after the election, so Brian Cowen ought to be be left out altogether. – Yours, etc,
