Belt tensioner issue leads Volvo to recall 202 cars
VOLVO IS recalling 202 of its cars in Ireland due to a potential problem with a belt tensioner that could, if it failed, result in a loss of power steering.
The cars affected are the V70, S80, XC60 and XC70 models built between 2007 and 2009.
The company is writing to the owners of these vehicles in the coming days and the belt will be replaced by dealers free of charge.
Customers concerned that their vehicle might be affected should contact their local Volvo dealership.
