Restaurateur Kevin Thornton doesn't suffer fools gladly, but then food writer and Ballymaloe graduate Caroline Hennessy is no slouch when it comes to food affairs. So was it a marriage made in culinary heaven when they teamed up to co-present Foodtalk, a six-part radio programme on Newstalk which debuts on Christmas Day?
While you're hard at work in the kitchen on the 25th, tune in at 1.30pm to find out, and as you listen, put together a batch of these adorable ice cream snowmen (left), as fashioned by Kieran and Sean Murphy of Murphy's Ice Cream in Dingle. The Murphy brothers feature in the fifth programme in the series, on January 25th.
