Mayor critical of border controls
Mayor of Bundoran, Co Donegal Michael McMahon, has said he is disturbed by prostitutes in their 20s handing out fliers on the resort’s streets to sell their services. He intends to raise concerns over airport immigration-control procedures when he meets with senior gardaí in charge of south Donegal today
The mayor said he is concerned that people traffickers are importing prostitutes to Ireland and flying them back out again within weeks.
He said the women with their burly “minders” may be moving from town to town to keep ahead of the gardaí.
One prostitute went live on local radio, Ocean FM, and talked about her services and charges.
