Man seriously injured after shooting in Hartstown
A man was seriously injured in a shooting incident last night in Hartstown, Dublin. The incident happened shortly before 7pm when a lone gunman approached a car as it pulled out of a driveway of a house on Cherryfield View.
The gunman shot the front-seat passenger, a man in his 30s, a number of times. The injured man was taken by ambulance to James Connolly Hospital. The driver of the car was unharmed. The gunman escaped on foot in the direction of Portersgate. An incident room has been set up at Blanchardstown Garda station.
