Sat 03 Mar 2010Activist has US visa revoked
ANTI-WAR CAMPAIGNER and former Army commandant Dr Edward Horgan has had his US visa revoked. Dr Horgan said he had received a letter from the US embassy in Dublin revoking his 10-year visa shortly after he had been invited to speak at a conference in North Carolina on extraordinary rendition.
He said the letter cited “information” received by the US authorities as the reason for revoking the visa, but gave no indication what the information was. He was told he could apply for a new visa at the embassy, but when he attended for interview, the word “revoked” was written across the original visa.
