PSNI arrest man over death of baby boy
14-week-old Cameron: suffered serious injuriesPOLICE INVESTIGATING the murder of a 14-week-old boy in Co Antrim have arrested his father. Detectives have until tonight to charge or release Ryan Leslie (24) of New Mossley, Newtownabbey on the outskirts of north Belfast.
He was taken in for questioning after the child was admitted to hospital last week. The baby, Cameron, was firstly taken to Antrim Area hospital on Thursday before being transferred to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children where he died on Saturday. He was suffering from a number of serious injuries.
A flat in the New Mossley estate has been sealed off by police for forensic examination.
Sheree Black, the baby's 18-year-old mother, is being comforted by relatives.
Rev Ian McDonald, a local Presbyterian minister said: "People are concerned about the folk involved . . . In a time like this there is real support and help. People are shocked."
