In yesterday's report headed "Pupils tested for lead poison" it was stated that the contamination of the school playground at Silvermines village was due to the legacy of Mogul Ireland's mining activities. In fact, there is no connection between Mogul Ireland and the high lead levels in the playground.
Where errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
