IN SHORT:NATIONWIDE UK (Ireland), has agreed a rent of €58,000 for its first Irish high street branch which will open next month at 13 Merrion Row in Dublin 2. The two-storey building has a floor area of 103sq m (1,108sq ft) and is located between Segreto and Bang cafe. The lease will run for 10 years.

Part of the world’s largest building society, Nationwide UK employs 21 people at its Spencer Dock offices in Dublin’s IFSC, where it operates a dedicated account-opening and customer service centre. Brendan Synnott, managing director of the Irish company said the opening of the branch was a direct response to a growing demand from customers for a face-to-face service.
