JETBIRD, A NEW company operating a pan-European low cost private jet service, has leased 1,297sq m (13,961sq ft) of office space at a waterfront location in East Point Business Park in the Dublin docklands.

The company will be paying €225 per sq m (€20.90 per sq ft), a rent that it due to go to €245 per sq m (€22.75 per sq ft) at the end of year five.

There is also a break option at the end of the 10th year.

JetBird will join Edward Dillon Co who occupy the entire top floor of the four-storey building. The two remaining floors, ranging from a unit of 525sq m (5,651sq ft), are available to rent at €250 per sq m (€23.22 per sq ft).

Arthur Phelan of agent Colliers Jackson-Stops said the rents in East Point "offer extremely measurable value" when compared to the IFSC and the docklands.

Colliers and joint agents McNally Handy are marketing business units ranging from €95-€200 per sq m (€8.83- €18.58 per sq ft) in Innovation House also in East Point.

The park's proximity to the city centre and easy access to Clontarf Dart station have been strong selling points over the years.
