Gardaí are not looking for anyone in connection with the deaths of a man and woman who were found shot dead a short distance apart in Co Roscommon in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí at Castlerea are investigating the shootings which they believe happened between 9.30pm and midnight last night near the villages of Cloonfad.

Over an hour later, at around 1.30am, a 30-year-old mother of two was found dead in another silver Passat a short distance away at Springvale, also at Cloonfad.
The bodies were taken to Galway University Hospital this afternoon following a technical examination at the scene of both shootings. A post mortem examination was due to be carried out by State Pathologist Prof Marie Cassidy at the hospital this afternoon.
