Two killed in separate crashes

One person was killed and two others injured in a crash in Galway city this morning.

Two people have died in separate single vehicle crashes early today.

In Galway city a 19-year-old woman died after the car she was travelling in crashed on the Seamus Quirke Road at 3.30am.

Two other occupants of the car, a woman (18) and a man (21), are being treated in Galway University Hospital. The woman's death is the thirteenth on the State's roads so far this year.

In Co Tyrone a man died after his car crashed on the A5 Omagh to Newtownstewart Road shortly after midnight.
