A man aged in his 40s has been released without charge after being arrested in connection with a cannabis seizure in Co Westmeath last night.
The man had been arrested following the discovery of over €10,000 of cannabis at a house in Rochfortbridge.
During the course of a search gardai discovered a quantity of cannabis with an estimated street value of €1500 in. A cultivation tent located at the rear of the house was also searched and cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €9,200 seized.
A man was arrested at the scene and held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Mullingar Garda station.
He was later released without charge pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
