There was a little bit of good news for commuters this morning as some Dublin Bus services were unable to accept cash fares.
A spokesman for the company said that a technical issue had affected a small number of buses out of its Ringsend and Donnybrook depots.
He said passengers who were unable to pay their fare were being allowed to travel for free.
Work is under way to resolve the problem which has arisen following work on the Dublin Bus Wayfarer ticketing system.
