Former British prime minister Gordon Brown could be "maddening" and had "zero" emotional intelligence, Tony Blair has claimed in his memoirs.

Mr Blair’s memoirs went on sale today, laying bare the divisions at the top of the Labour Party and focusing attention on his relationship with Gordon Brown.
