Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has defended his handling of the allegation of sexual abuse against his brother Liam.
Speaking on RTÉ's Pat Kenny radio show this morning, Mr Adams said when he first became aware of his niece Áine Tyrell's revelation in 1987, the allegation was reported to the proper authorities.
