Man dies after Sligo crash

An elderly man has died after his car hit a wall in Sligo.

The man, who was in his 80s, was seriously injured when he crashed at Knappagh Road yesterday morning.

He was taken to Sligo General Hospital where he died yesterday evening.

The scene of the accident was technically examined and the road has since reopened.
