Four hurt in Red Cow collision
A man remains in a critical condition in hospital today after a car crashed into a stationary Garda patrol vehicle in Dublin.
The car hit the Garda vehicle on the city-bound lane of the N7 near the Red Cow roundabout at 2.50am.
Two male occupants of the vehicle were taken to Tallaght hospital, one of whom remains in a serious condition.
Two gardaí in the patrol car were also treated in hospital for minor injuries.
A Garda spokesman said the city-bound lane of the N7 remained closed for a time this morning to allow for an examination of the crash scene.
He also confirmed that the Garda Ombudsman was conducting an investigation into the incident.
Gardaí in Clondalkin are investigating the crash and have appealed for witnesses to the incident to contact them.
