Man for court over cocaine seizure

A 26-year-old man arrested in connection with a seizure of cocaine in Dublin is to appear before Dublin District Court later today.

The man was arrested after cocaine worth €1.1 million was recovered during a house search in north Dublin on Thursday evening.

The house in Blakestown was searched as part of an ongoing operation targeting criminal gangs in the Blanchardstown area.

Gardaí from the Blanchardstown drugs and detective unit assisted by officers from the ‘Operation Anvil’ team seized a substantial quantity of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia during the search.
