Search for Irish surfer off Thailand
SASJKIA OTTOA search is continuing for an Irishman who went missing while surfing off the coast of Thailand earlier this week.
Michael O’Brien (24) from Templeogue in Dublin has not been seen since Tuesday when he went surfing around Koh Pahngan island.
A spokesman for the Department of Foreign Affairs said: "The department has been providing consular assistance through our consulate in Bangkok and their embassy in Malaysia to his family.
"Efforts to locate Mr O'Brien are continuing and to our knowledge no body has yet been recovered."
