Man held after Rosslare drugs find

A 30-year-old man is in custody following the discovery of over 4.5kgs of herbal cannabis in Wexford yesterday.

Officers from Revenue's Customs service seized the drug after they stopped a car in Rosslare Europort.

Eight packages containing a total of 4.64Kgs of herbal cannabis were found during the search. The drugs have an estimated value of €55,680.

It is understood the car had just disembarked from the ferry from France when it was stopped.

A Polish male was arrested at the scene and was handed over to gardaí in Wexford.
