An explosive device was seized in Co Dublin this afternoon, while a similar device was found in a separate incident in Ballyfermot last night.
A viable device was discovered during a raid by gardaí in Rathcoole, Co Dublin at about 12.15 pm this afternoon. No controlled explosion was carried out on the improvised device which was made safe at the scene by Army bomb disposal experts.
