New York’s latest hero Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger walked the aisle of his sinking US Airways jetliner to check all its passengers had been brought to safety after it crash-landed in the Hudson River last night.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg paid tribute to Mr Sullenberger today after he was credited with saving all 155 on board in what experts called a masterful job under life-or-death pressure.
