Two killed in Kilkenny road crash

Two men have died following a road traffic collision in Kilkenny earlier today.

The men were both travelling in a car that collided with a lorry on the N76 Kilkenny to Callan Road at 4.25pm. The driver of the lorry received minor injuries.

The three were taken to St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny.

Gardaí have begun an investigation and the road is expected to remain closed until noon tomorrow while forensic crash scene investigators examine the scene.
