Three police officers were being treated in hospital tonight after crashing their patrol car in Co Down.

They were hurt when their car left the road near Ballykinler.

No other vehicle was believed to have been involved in the accident on the Commons Road.

A PSNI spokeswoman said the officers’ injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
