A woman is in a stable condition in hospital after she was stabbed in Co Cavan earlier this week.
The incident took place at a house in Kilnaleck, Co Cavan, at about 10.30am on Tuesday. A man in his mid-20s was arrested shortly after, and questioned in relation to the attack.
The woman, who is in her 30s, suffered a number of stab wounds in the attack. She was taken to Cavan General Hospital where she was said to be stable.
