Motorcyclist dies in Co Derry crash
The death toll on Northern Ireland’s roads increased yet again today when a motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Co Derry.
A total of 72 people have died on the roads so far this year - six more than at the same time last year.
In the latest accident the rider of a motorcycle died when he was in collision with a tractor outside Coleraine shortly before 8.30am.
The accident happened on the Ballyrashane Road and police investigating asked for any witnesses to contact them.
They especially want to speak to anyone who stopped at the scene to provide assistance, particularly two women who offered first aid to the fatally injured man.
