PSNI arrests two in dissident investigation
Two men were arrested in Co Armagh today in connection with suspected dissident republican crime.
Detectives carried out planned searches in Armagh City and Lurgan and seized a number of items for examination.
Earlier this year, PSNI Chief Constable Sir Hugh Orde warned that the threat from dissident republicans was at its highest level for several years.
There has been renegade republican activity in Lurgan in recent years, with the interception of a 250lb bomb in the town in 2006.
There was also an attempt to ambush officers reacting to a security alert on the railway line near Lurgan.
