Three held over PSNI shooting
Three men were arrested today by detectives investigating a gun attack on an off-duty police officer last year in Northern Ireland.
Dissident republicans were blamed after the 43-year-old Catholic was ambushed in Bishop Street in Derry city centre last November as children were being dropped off at three nearby schools.
The wounded policeman, originally from the nationalist Bogside area, was able to drive himself to a nearby PSNI station to receive first aid.
Police said the three suspects were being questioned at Antrim serious crime suite.
