PSNI appeal for witnesses to attack

Police in Northern Ireland are appealing for witnesses after a 19-year-old man was beaten by a gang of six masked men armed with baseball bats in Belfast early this morning.

The victim was attacked in a property in Island Street in east Belfast after the men forced their way inside at around 3am.

He was brought to hospital for treatment of cuts and bruises to his head and body.
