‘Multiple’ bodies found at house near Phoenix, Arizona

A number of bodies have been found inside a house in Arizona, police said.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s officials said “multiple” bodies were discovered at the address in Gilbert, east of Phoenix.

There were no details on their ages or genders but sheriff’s spokeswoman Courtney Palma said they were being investigated as suspicious deaths.

Aerial footage from television news helicopters show a sheriff’s Incident Command Centre van at the scene along with a county medical vehicle.

Ms Palma said deputies responded about 9pm on Monday to a home near Power and Chandler Heights roads.

Deputies arrived on the scene and reported finding several dead people inside the home.
