Danish police have called off a bomb investigation in central Copenhagen, saying a suspicious-looking vehicle that prompted the evacuation of nearby buildings was part of a scientific experiment.
Bomb experts who investigated the car found “it was some kind of scientific experiment” and police want to talk to the car’s owner, spokesman Hans Sinding said.
He had previously said the Swedish-registered vehicle had wires sticking out of the windows and objects inside that made it “very suspicious”.
Police had closed several busy streets around Kongens Nytorv square and evacuated dozens of people from nearby buildings.
