Australian bag-snatcher filmed running into glass door

A thief who stole a woman's purse at a shopping centre in Perth in western Australia ran though a pane of glass as he tried to get away.

CCTV footage shows the man sprinting down a corridor towards the exit after grabbing the purse.

However, he misjudged the door and ran straight through it, smashing the glass and knocking himself out.

Not realising he was a bag-snatcher, bystanders ran over to help the stricken man.

An accomplice then ran up and tried to dragged his hapless friend into a waiting car.

The owner of a local tattoo shop tried to hold the bag thief, but was forced to let him go when he was threatened with a gun.

The dazed thief staggered into the stolen car, which then sped off.

Police have yet to make any arrests.
