Two men held over off-licence raid

Two men have been arrested in relation to an armed robbery at a Dublin off-licence, gardaí said today.

Gardaí believe a man armed with a gun entered an off-licence on Clonsilla Road, Dublin 15 at 3pm on Friday.

The man threatened staff and fled with cash, gardaí said. A second man waited for him outside in a vehicle.

No shots were fired and nobody was injured during the raid, gardaí added.

Two men, in their early 20s and early 40s, were arrested on Saturday evening by gardaí during a follow-up search.

They are being held at Blanchardstown Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
