Traffic is heavy around Dublin City Centre today as Kildare Street is closed until tomorrow for the visit of US first lady Michelle Obama.
There is heavy inbound traffic on the N11/Stillorgan Road from UCD to Leeson Street and from Appian Way to St Stephen’s Green.
Traffic is also slow near Kildare Street from Dawson Street and Nassau Street and from College Street to Clare Street.
Elsewhere in the city centre, traffic is also heavy along the North Quays and slow on St John’s Road West at Heuston Station.
Parking restrictions are in place on St. Stephen’s Green East and North and on Molesworth Street.
Dublin Bus routes that use Kildare Street are being diverted and will re-join their routes via Hume Street, St. Stephen’s Green or Merrion Square East. These diversions will be in place until tomorrow evening. A full list of diverted routes is on the Dublin Bus website.
DART and Luas services are not expected to be affected.
